• comments: ran with my nephew's cc team - parents vs. alumni vs. team. the ladies got a 3 minute head start, the dads got 2 minutes, and the alumni started a minute after the team. one mom was ahead of me after the first half mile and i was going to let her stay in front of me, but she headed the wrong way. i was the lady in the lead for a while, but she passed me up and then led me the wrong way again. this time, i found myself behind my nephew and a lot of the team (was in front of them before we took the wrong turn). i wasn't going to try to pass her as she was way more into it than i was and her kid is on the team. my brother was able to find a guy to pace with and he finished it without walking, but said it was 5 times harder than he thought it would be. i thought i'd be running beside him, but it didn't happen. i'm so proud of him and proud of my nephew who beat my time :)
